Has anyone drove the Mojave Trail yet?
We are planning a trip in March or April to drive the 138 mile off road trail. From what I hear the trail is 4 X 4 rated in a couple areas and there are some small wash / creek crossings. I also see that there are deer and upland game critters running about. It looks like good fun. It will be a 2 night, 3 day event. There are quite a few mines, caves and other interesting things along the trail. Some you have to hike back into but it looks like it's worth it.
I am going with a group that goes every year. After I have done it once with them maybe we can get some GMTC members to strat going out there. Let me know if you are interseted.

The last time my dad took me and my older brothers on the Mojave trail was in 1973, at that time it was accessable all the way through with a 2wd vehicle. I remember seeing a late 60's Impala and a mid 50's Cadillac on the trail with us.
It used to be a great motorcycle trip, dont know how it is now a days.

A friend of mine has been going with his dad for the last few years. He says there are a coue of spots where you should have 4 wheel drive. I don't know how bad it is but I'll let you know when I get back. I am looking forward to scouting for deer and taking some coyotes at night. I hear there are quai and chuckar out there as well.

Would be quite the trek for me (Missouri) but I'd definitely consider doing some trails at some point if I had a good backup system (others that could offer help and knowledge). If times fall right, I wouldn't mind trying to see if I could work it in.
Please definitely let us know how things go!
