    Default 08 silverado tires?

    Anyone fit 285/75/r16 tires on a stock 08 silverado 2500 HD 4x4?

i'm looking at the firestone destination mt's that have a diameter of 33.1" and I need this info before i spend the money on tires that may not fit.

I'm willing to twist up the tortion bars a bit if it helps, any info would be appreciated.

You better make sure a 16in wheel will fit on your truck first. They come out with 17,18 20's.

Yeah it will fit if you crank up the torsion bars. A 2.5" lift at the torsion bar will allow for no more than 33" tires. But 285's should work.

Thanks, these 285/75/r16 firestone destination mt's are taller than most 285's they are 33.1" tall. I really don't want any rubbing going on.

These are 2500 HD wheels, they are 8 bolt patterns. Many come with this exact wheel, I don't like mine at all and should be changing them out when ProComp calls and tells me the rim I want is off back order. GM wants about 2 grand for the larger wheels in an 8 bolt patern - not worth it for me.
