Default 2005 chevy silverado v6 towing abilities

Dont mean to jump right in like this but i need some answers and im kinda pressed for time, and i thought the best guys to ask would be the diehards. heres my situation: I was asked to drive a 1500 siverado about 3.5 hours away hauling a 2200+/- trailer.
The truck specifically was a reg. cab long box 4.3v6, with much experience using this truck and trailer combo around town i not keen on driving it said distance, basically looking for opinions about this truck abilities for longer journeys with trailer, i found it grosly underpowered. thanks

What is point A and what is point B? The distance being traveled? The starting city and the ending city?
Have you got the approx. miles? A AAA mileage estimate? Are you going on flat roads, or mountain terrain? This would greatly influenece the answer that I will give you? The truck combo is feasable and could provide enough power for the tow, now what about the other variables?

    Hmmmm,
2200 pounds is not much that truck should have no problem. But chek to see if you have a receiver hitch or a bumper hitch. If it's a bumper hitch loot to see if there is a max triler weight.

Welcome to the site. Like said before, need more info' to really help much. My son has a truck like you described and it has 330,000 miles on, so I know the combo has a good reputation and 2200# isn't that much. Good luck!
