Questions with Keyless entry on 08 silverado

I just bought an 08 silverado work turck. It has power windows and power locks, but did not come with the remote for the keyless entry. If I buy the remote should I be able to just program it and make it work?

if u got a WT truck i do not think gust buying the remote is going to work but if you got the LT u shuld go and the remote.

It's not really an LT, but it does have everything power and the front is the chrome front.... I guess is like an LT, but with a V6 engine LOL.

It won't work if your power package is the code AP0. But if you have AP8 package you can order the kit here.

If you have the V6, then it's a WT.
