    Default newbie has leveling ?

Hello everyone I am new to the sight but have been drive GMC for years. I am in here trying to find out how big I can go on a leveling kit. I have my 082500Hd Z71 That I am about to level and put tires on. Iknow it will fit 33' with the leveling. But I have headr that you can do 35' if you trim the wheel well. Does anyone know if this is true or not .Thanks In advance

Welcome to the site! I'm sure with the right wheel/tire combo you could stuff 35's under a leveled HD.

I looked into that on my Avalanche 2500. Pretty much an HD with body cladding. If my measurements were right they could fit with some trimming. More trimming than I would want though. I am now weighing out a 4" lift or leveling but either way I can only go as big as a 34" tire because of the state laws here.

Welcome to the site! I would say just level it if you can only go with 34". No sense in lifting it further than that.

I'm sure you could fit 33's but I think 35's may be pushing it. My friend has an 08 2500 on 35's but he has an 8 inch lift.

I talked to 4 wheel today and the said level and 285 70 17 is the most on factory rims with out cutting fender wells. that should do what I need. Wanted 305's but don't see the need for the additional cost of rims to offset them. Should get about the same out of 285's. saw one while I was there that had been leveled and 305 and had most of the fender well cut out, didn't care for it.
Thanks for the help and Like the sight I will get pics up late this week with the 285's on it.

Welcome, Son, you can go as high as you want with the right amount of CASH, good tools or place that has the right equipment and the knowledge to perform the task. Investigate everything, go to truck shows to see what others have so you can see in person. Ask them questions also, as well as here so you really get the full spectrum of how much is out there.

Welcome to the site. I wouldn't want to cut into my fenders at all especially on an '08.
