    Default RollNLock Retractable Bedcover

I waited to post my impressions about my bed cover for a little while as I wanted to make sure I wasn't just giddy about having a new toy, but I will say that I have been very pleased with the RollNLock cover that I put on my truck. I got it last June and was debating between the hard covers or the snap covers and came across it. Now, they're not cheap and I used some of my tax rebate to get it. The RollNLock is the cartridge loaded alumninum roll up cover that slides out in the tracks mounted to your bed. Mine has several stop points which can be good when needing to leave it open say half way.

    The website is http://www.rollnlock.com/.

Pros: Hard cover with lock, retracks into cartridge and allows open bed, stop points so can be left half open

Cons: Expensive, Alignment in tracks can go off if not pulled evenly, cartridge eats up roughly 8" of bed space.

Having said that, I definitely recommend this to someone who has extra change and wants a nice cover

I looked into these when I owned a Nissan frontier. they looked very nice but as you said on the expensive side. Did you get the manual one or the powered one?

Is this cover like the one they sell under the name "Full Metal Jacket"? I saw one on a Ford Super Duty Dually at a truck show and it looked pretty cool, but that guy said his was like $3,000? Just curious???

Sorry for the slow response. I got the manual one. The powered one sounded nice but again, its expensive enough that I was fine w/the pull string. One thing though, if you would look at it, definitely use the string to pull it back..I pulled from one side and it can get out of alignment if you do it too much. Not difficult to fix but can be embarrassing if you don't have a screw driver on you.

I have no idea about that. It wasn't $3000 but it could have been the automatic one for about that price.

I have a Roll N Lock and I love the thing. I bought it because I had to haul some things from Texas to New York and encountered some bad weather. The bed was completely dry. The only drawback is that when it snows, ice can can keep you from using it! But it is a great product and cheaper than the Jackrabbit or the fullmetal jackrabbit. Also, it keeps your tailgate from being stolen since it lock your tailgate as well. Definately a good buy. I like the look of a fiberglass bed cover, but I like the fact that I am not restricted on what I can carry.
