    How many miles?
Sounds like age is catching up to it, you could probably try a fluid and filter change maybe an additive but I suspect the problem is worn internals that need replacement and not a band aid.

    Hah, sounds like my transmission.

How many miles? Condition of fluid? Last filter/fluid change?

I agree with Tim. Sounds like the bands are slipping. Changing the filter and fluid may help out a little and only for a short time, but I think you're going to need to replace/rebuild soon.

Thanks for the post. 147,000 plus miles and trans oil and filter change a month a ago. hoped for the best but prepared for the worse. the question now rebuild or replace. reman or used. sign of the times.
