2005 silverado tranny probs

i have a 2005 chevy silverado that i bought about 6 months ago it a 4.8ltr 4x4 i keep having a problem with the tranny the check engine light comes on and then it acts as if the tranny is stuck in 3rd gear i took it to the local garage and had the computer hooked up it came up with 3 codes torque conveter was one of them that i can remember he said that he new what the problem was and put some sort of liquid in the tranny he told me that the servo were probably gunked up and that would clean them out so it shifted great for about a week then last night on the way to work it started acting up again. please help any info is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you should do a tranny flush.

guess what my problem was needed a new ignition switch

I have an 05 silverado with 125k miles and it threw a code which stated that the 1-2 **** soleniod was bad bought a new one repalced it worked fine for about 30 mins and the check engine light came back on and the truck was stuck in 3rd gear did hooked computer scanner up again and it told me it could be 1 of 5 things turns out it was the ignition switch too.
