    Lightbulb Duramax Milage?

What are all you getting for MPH out there with you Duramax Diesels? Right now I am getting around 14-16 mpg. It's hard for me to tell what potential I have it seems I'm either plowing or towing with my rig.

Tell us more about your truck. What year, stock, lifted, any mods? I get 17-20 with mine with a 6" lift and 35's because I put aftermarket exhaust and use a programmer.

Stock wheels and tires, Linex in the bed and on the bed rails, have hidden LED strobes in the headlights and tail lights, and a boss plow. its my work truck. The new '07 1/2 and up all have the DPF and do not get as good of millage as pre DPF. The regeneration uses up a gallon or more of fuel about every tank to clean out the DPF.

I do have an Edge Juice w/ attitude. Alway ran it stock but just set it on level 1 about a week ago. I bought mostly for the gauge features wile towing or plowing.

You will find by turning it up a bit it will increase performance as well as milage. My Quadzilla tuner has 6 tunes and I have tried them all and run it on the 70HP tune and get the best mileage.

I have to look at my turbo down pipe connection. There had been a lot of them leaking and sound like you lose millage if they do. This is only on the LMM. I will try level 1 on the tuner also.

How does one inspect/check this or will dealer etc have to check it?

Getting about 13 average, towing 5kTT, buzzing around town and some open highway miles

I believe there is a bulletin out for"Diesel smell on regenerations" if you call the dealer. Do not say anything about bad mileage. To inspect your self you need to remove the air baffle, and behind the turbo you will see a shield that needs removed. After that you should see the down pipe and be able to tell if there is leaking going on during regen. There would be black soot where the down pipe connects to the turbo. Hope this helped.

OK I'm at the dealer getting some recalls fixed on my wife's Acadia. I had the service guy look up down pipe on service bulletins and it came up. So if you call just tell them you smell diesel during regen and you did some research and came up with the defective turbo down pipe. This should get them to the correct bulletin.
