Default tire size for street look on 22s

I am wanting to go for a street look on my 22in rims. I bought some brand new 22x9.5 rims with a +30 off set and want to go as wide and tall as possible so I have a comfortable ride. I am willing to use spacers if I need to and I will either do a 2" drop shackle in the back or the RC 2" leveling keys on the front to make this level and looking good. Let me know which way will look best. Any pics of trucks with a similar setup is appreciated. I have a 4x4. Thanks!

any ideas? pics? I am gettin hated on at another motorcycle forum Im on. They wont shut up and all they can say is I need 28s or 20s with a 12 in lift and bla bla bla. I just want a nice looking truck, the 22s are only for summer, I have rims for the winter. I wont be going anywhere but the movies, texas roadhouse, and my job. No offroading, no ditch jumping, nothing. Just want something clean for the street!

those are nice lookin rims man. I personally like trucks lifted up so i would recommend the lift in the front. then, look for a tire that is 33" tall or so. I used the calculator and found that you should be fine with a 305/45R22. they are a 32.8/12 or so. another size would be a 285/50R22. they are about a 33/11.25 so a little narrower.

for the street/aggressive tires i I would recommend the:

    Nitto terra grappler
    Toyo Proxes S/T II
    Toyo Open Country AT

thanks for the suggestions guys. do you think it would look stupid if I put a street tire (cuz theyre way cheaper) 305/45/22 on them for now and used the drop shackle in the rear? I just don't want it to look dumb if I lift the front and the tire doesn't look aggressive. Nobody wants to show off wheelwells with 22s LOL. I am thinkin I'll do the street tires for now, and then upgrade and do a suspension lift later on. I am leaning towards the drop shackle lookin the best for my tire situation??

edit: I guess it wouldn't be bad to lift the front. It is a 4wd. As long as it wouldn't look gay with the tires. Maybe the 285/50/22 would look best then? I just need to find an affordable tire then! I think the tires I have now are 275/60/20 so they are about 32.8 tall and about 11 wide. I have zero rubbing issues now, and I even had 24s with 305/35/24 and no rubbing... just a real crappy ride quality!

I'll check out the Coopers, but I can get the Toyo Proxes for $650 shipped, or Toyo Proxes S/T II for $750 shipped. I'm not sure how much cheaper tires can get for 22s. ??? Without being dangerous of course.

    Default sweet!!

yeah man those are some sweet looking wheels. the guys have gave you some excellent advice and many of them took the words right out of my mouth. those are the recommended size for our trucks. glad that you didnt **** your truck up with some damn 26" wheels. the 285/45/22 would be a good size for the street. I have heard from a few local rim shops that they do not recommend using spacers. I have buddy with an avalanche with 22" wheels and he didnt use a leveling kit. not sure if it makes a difference or not. Put some pics on here when you get the ride together.

    hey newby,

thats funny that you mentioned not ****ing up my truck with 26s, ha! I was totally going to do 26s until I bought some used 24s and they rode like ****. I sold them immediately, they lost their cool faster than a hot chick that tells you she has AIDS. I think the 22s will be a nice switch. If I don't like them it's ok because I think I'll do a lift someday and throw XD rims on it with A/Ts. This will atleast look good and ride good for the time being... I hope
