Windshield breaking

I have noticed from my own truck as well as many of the people I know having the same truck that the windsheild is easy to break with a tiny stone hitting it while driving. I know 5 people all with cracked windsheilds all on 2007-2008 silverado's does anyone know or have one with the same problem. I would like to bring it to GM's attention

I have a 07' with 2 chips in my windshield. I have got both of them filled so the chips won't spread. As far as bringing it to GM's attention good luck. I have a feeling they are are going to say it's out of there hands as they can't help the environment. Esp. with GM losing money every day.
