Guys and ladies please help me with this problem. I REALLY want these wheels for my ride but I hear some horror stories about a wheel with that much of a negative offset. what is the damn truth behind the myth? Also what tire size would you do? the wheels are 20x10. I GOTTA GET THESE WHEELS!!!! My truck is an 08' Silvy 1500 4x4 crew cab , I do plan on adding a 3" body lift...what size tires would you run?

The issue with negative offset is it's going to push the edge of the rim & tire to the outside giving your truck a wider track which is fine until you turn the front wheels and the tires peel off your air dam! the stock wheels you have appear to be the 18" option which are 8" wide and I believe they have a 31mm positive offset so if you do the math the outside edge of your new wheel is going to stick out about 3and1/4 inches further out so your going to need a major lift to accommodate that. Hope this helps!

DAMN thats not what I wanted to hear. I really like them wheels. so if I go with a 22"x9.5 with a positive offset I would be ok???

Yeah I think they would be better, with those dimensions the amount of lift you need will depend on the tire size you choose![]()

yeah I got a buddy here in the out-skirts of Cleveland and he has some crazy lift on his truck and he has to watch for the cops about his tires and the lift of the truck, and the lift is limited to so many inches off the ground. Thanks guys

as far as the cops picking on you for how far out your wheels sit from the vehicle i had been told that you can make up for it with fender flares.

I really like those wheels, they are definately different. I agree with Yotchie about the fender flares, Bushwacker makes a beautiful set of cut-out flares which give you another 5" of room to cover the tires. I am just not sure what kind of ride you get from mounting the rolling stock like that, the first thing that comes to my mind when I see a truck with tires sticking way out is.
1. He got a super good deal on them from a swap meet, and he couldn't refuse the deal.
2. He didn't know how to measure back spacing.
I will post a picture of those fender flares for you to see, they look awesome on the New body style Silverado.

Here are a picture of those bushwacker flares on the new body style, the picture is of a 2008 GMC Sierra which is basically the same thing. Stylin Concepts has them for $500 a pair and they come color matched to your truck, just give them your paint code and they will be ready to put on your truck. They use the factory fender flare holes to mount them, and the stainless accents are just for show they don't actually screw into the fender. I would think with a 20" or 22" wheel that you should be able to get a 31" or 33" tire, but that is a guess on my part..........AMY
