Default Best tire size to fit lift

I just lifted my 2003 2500HD Silvie, Lifted about 2.5" over stock height. I have been looking everywhere to find a recommendation for tire size, but with no definite luck. So what size tire can I run? After doing some calculations going from the 31.6" stock to a 35" upgraded will add 1.6" (center to fender on all measuring angles) What has/does everyone else run (ran)? stock wheels and tires as of now.
2004 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0L,Diablo Tuner, K&N, 9" custom suspension lift, 2" body lift 3" cowl induction hood, 37" Toyo M/T's 18" incubus wheels. Comp Cams 212/218 lsa 114, E-fan. Dual shock kit, Es bushings, moog chassis front end.

Depends on what size tire I can run. Looking to run 17" wheel. But curious about stock as well.

Remember it is not only the diameter of the tire that will play into effect. The width will be the issue during turning, also if you change rims the offset will further play a big factor. It is a math nightmare but a little time with a calculator beats trimming parts.

if you run a 17" rim, I would run a 285/75R16 on a stock rim or a 285/70R17 on an aftermarket rim

No intensions of hijacking this thread but I have a question.

Do you have to change the tire/rim size or can you stay stock? I'd like to lift mine about 2-3 inches but would rather not change out the stock wheel and tire size. I'm mostly a highway driver and would be doing it strictly for looks.

Never mind, found this on www.Roughcountry.com

The taller a vehicle is, the easier it will roll. Offset, as much as possible, what is lost in rollover resistance
by increasing tire track width. In other words, go "wide" as you go "tall".

you could keep the stock tires yes, but it would look stupid. also, you are not raising it that much anyway so you dont really have to worry much about the higher center of gravity
