    Default Dead Fuel Pump..HELP!

We have a 99 Chevy Suburban 454 4X4. This morning when my husband went out to leave, the fuel pump sounded "sick". It had its normal tone, then would wind down. He made it all morning fine, no huccups, then this afternoon when he got back in the truck, NO FIRE. The starter would crank, but no fire. We have pretty much diagnosed this problem to the fuel pump.. We have had this happen before in the 96 GMC Dually that we had. However that was a much easier fix, considering that the bed came up, and the fuel pump came out. This is a much bigger task considering that there is no bed to remove.. We are looking to see if there is anyone who might possibly be able to guide us in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had to change mine. It really isn't too bad, as long as the gas tank isn't full (because mine was ~2/3 full when it went. Murphy's law says it will never go bad when the tank is near empty, right?).
