Rhino liner or bed rail caps are the only way to go with that situation. don't get the cheap stuff. My best friend got the cheap stuff from wally world and OMG it's not even a year old and is chipping and peeling every where. looks awful (gave him plenty o`hell over it too) shame doing a chevy that way. do it right or don't do it, that's what i usually say.

that sounds like a pretty good deal but he's already got something in his so all he would need is enough to do the rails if he wanted to. I still personally think the bedrail caps would be the better way to go but that's just my opinion.

Im in the same situation and wanted spray-on bedliner over the rails, but its expensive if you dont have the whole bed done. im leaning towards putting the black plastic caps on, or leaving it until next year and peeling my current spray-in liner out and having the whole thing resprayed because my reflex spray in liner is totally chipping and peeling 8 years later. My thoughts are that if you ever have any bedliner sprayed in, rolled in, or anything like that - even just on the rails, make sure its a hard one, more like line-x's formula, as opposed to a more rubbery one like reflex or rhino liner.

I would go with the caps but If you do go with the roll on be careful because the kits arent meant to be accurate and leave nice straight lines in the bed so do lots of extra prep when applying next to your nice paint!

I have spray on bedliner, holds up great to gravel/concrete/dirt. It is tough, durable and water resistant matter.
