Hi All,
We've got a 2003 Yukon XL that has a bit of trim that is just slightly starting to come loose on the righthand rear passenger door.
From looking on online it appears that the right way to repair this is to peel the whole piece of trim off, scrub all the adhesive away, then reattach? Is that right?

I'm wondering if there's any easier way when there's just a small corner of the trim that has come loose. It's a fairly big piece of trim and it seems like a good bit of work to get the whole thing off and then reattach it. But if that's what we've got to do, that's what we've gotta do.

You could try to just reglue the affected area. You really will need to clean the underside as much as you can though.
Head to your local auto parts store / auto paint store and pick up some trim adhesive. Clean the underside to get as much of the old glue chunks off and then do the adhesive thing. I recommend that you have pressure applied to it while it sets. Maybe apply a vice with pieces of newspaper on both sides to avoid marks/warping or could even try some tape.
Good luck,

I would just take all the trim off. Makes the truck look cleaner and you dont have to worry about it anymore.
