I just bought a set of Nitro wheels for my 1978 chevy 4x4 1/2 ton. The stock wheel studs are too short for this thicker rim. I am having trouble finding a place that sells longer wheel studs here in rural Wyoming. Does anyone know a good site or place to find longer aftermarket wheel studs for an older chevy truck?
Has anyone experienced this before?
I would check out summitracing.com or jegs.com or maybe even LMC. I've seen adapters that are solely for the purpose of getting longer studs as well as the studs themselves.
take one of the old studs into a local autostore like napa or autovalue and have them match the stud for something longer in most cases they can find one that will work

Two 8in RF HX2 punch( would have 12s but they got stolen)
Thanks for the websites.
The locals don't have a clue- I spent all day Friday in town trying to get this done, and ended up bringing home a set of left handed threaded studs... lol
I didn't catch it until I got home and they were closed...

How big are the holes for the lugs on the wheel? I bought a set of old-school rims a couple of months ago that had lug holes that were roughly 1/2" (Well I guess most are, but... Does the whole have a rounded edge around it, or is it straight with no curve into the hole?), and got home to find out the lugs were to short. But, after a little asking around, it turns out I needed a special nut called mag lug nuts instead of longer lugs. Basically, the collar of the lug goes into the wheel and then screws onto the lug.
They look a little something like this:
The smaller, non-hexed part goes into the hole of the wheel and then on to the lug. I don't know if this is your problem, but I just thought I'd throw it out there since I had a similar problem.
I know I probably didn't make much sense in the first paragraph, but that's the best way I could explain it.
