    Default Question on 77 pickup

I just purchased a 1977 Chevy pickup and it has the service parts identification tag in the glove box. I have a question, one item is option no N41 and its called variable ratio power. Could anyone tell me what this is?

There's a regular ratio where the wheels turn in relation to the steering wheel. Then there's the variable ratio where the wheels turn slow at first ans speed up to aid in parking. The N41 is the variable ratio.
