I we don't really need a longer one, which has more filer media and more cooling surface, why would we need the Amsoil remote filter?

You don't have to answer that question. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Well I sent a PM but I have no idea where it went.

When you get the chance, look up the bypass conversion for a 2004 Silverado with the 4.88 liter. And give me some prices on 10W-30 oil, gallon size preferred. As well as the price for replacement filters.

You can shoot me a PM and I will reply and give you my email.

    Thanks

All truck freaks and you're going to wally world for oil and filter.
I've been changing my oil since high school, now 44 and still change it Myself!
For the last 10 years have used AMSOIL and AMSOIL filters and would Never use anything else...
For the money I have peace of mind and the Top Product.

We spend all this money for our vehicles and save a buck or 2 on oil & filters.

But we'll spend a couple grand on tires and wheels......

Maybe some do, but I haven't spent more than 500 bucks for tires in my life, as far rims, I've only bought black steelies before, steelies are about 30 bucks a piece.

I was referring to filtration. A good filter will do a better job than a cheap 1. The best filtration is using a bypass filter witch filters 10 percent of the oil pumpís capacity at any one time and traps the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters canít remove. It traps 98.7% at 1 micron.

Wow went from a person asking about a larger filter to a Amsoil infomercial.

    Red face

Ya I guess I should of sent him a PM instead of posting in the thread. I did not mean to make it about AMSOIL. I was just trying to let him know his options. I just read something and want to post an answer to try and help..
