Is there a recall on the ABS chevy brake for Silverado's. The other day the brakes on my 2002 silverado seemed to activate for no reason.

Default My brake system started flashing...

Just a few days ago, my brake warning lamps started flashing, and my computer said Service Brake System. Did this the next 2 times I stared it up, then it stopped and went away

Any update? I've seen recalls on some GMs for brakes in the recent past.

i had to repalce the chevy abs control unit on my 2004 silverado about 2 monts after i bought it, the tech kinda hinted that they had replaced plenty of them( may be a silent recall on them)

There is a recall I received notice for, concerning the wheel hub and chevy speed sensor. Les Schwab replaced it before I got the notice so I sent in a reimbursement form....hope i get reimbursed!

New guy here. I own a 04 GMC 2500HD. I would like to raise the front end slightly, maybe an inch. A buddy told me you can do this by cranking the torsion bars underneath the truck. I checked in a Haynes manual for my old chevy, and its a little unclear. Anybody ever done this? Please send details on how to do this, and how much to turn the torsion bars. Also, would this operation require any change in chevy shocks or other components?

I saw the "how to" on a website I googled...can't remember it. Anyways, I heard its pretty easy. The only thing it requires is an alignment. My truck came with the torsion bars adjusted all the way up (it was used)....sure looks alot better than the nose dive looking ones!

make sure you turn the torsion bars equally then take it to get an alignment no shocks or anything they do make leveling kits but its cheaper adjusting the torsion bars
