Thread: Ex-Toyota Owner

Figured that title for a thread would catch some eyes!

Well I joined the forum about a week ago to get some information on the new silverado before I traded. Long story short I got out of a 2007 Tacoma TRD Sport 2wd with 25K miles on it and got into a 2008 Z71 4X4 5.3l Ext Cab demo. I liked the Tacoma fine (much better truck than the Tundra) but in the end it was a great small truck and still not a full size. I drive back and forth from Birmingham to Montgomery Alabama once a week (all interstate) and just to let everyone know my new Silverado achieved the same mileage at 21!

Anyway I have a 2004 GTO as well to drive on the weekends and it is fitted with a Diablosport Predator along with several other things. Does anyone have experience with the Diablo or is the there another programmer of choice for the trucks? The main reason I want it is to try and get a little more mileage out of it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

Welcome to the site and congrat's on the move to Chevy! I agree that the Taco is a very good truck, but it is just too small! No experience with with the "tuner', but I'm sure yoiu'll get some feedback. Good luck!

Welcome to the site. Both my Brother inlaw and father inlaw own tocomas. They are nice trucks but when they need a real truck they borrow mine and I don't even have a full bed. I just have MORE POWER.

FINALY someone else from the heart of dixie!

My uncle drives a Tacoma. We fight over who has the better truck. I win of course because i've got a half ton while he's scooting along with a quarter ton.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new truck! I haven't heard much about the Diablo programmer, but I just got a Hypertech Max Energy a couple weeks ago, and I'm loving it so far.

Thanks for the feedback. I mean when I was choosing a programmer for my GTO it seemed like the diablosport was the only choice and now I can't find much at all on them on this forum, must be for a reason. Ill look into the hypertech further. The main goal is added mileage because I already have a fast car so power in my truck is not as important to me.

Thanks again and I'm loving the forum so far.
