    Default silverado tire size

what is the biggest size tire i can go without lifting up my truck

285/75r16 or a 305/70r16. i personally have run both on my old truck it was a 01 silverado 4x4. both sizes are 33's but the 305 is a lil wider. the 305s look better . and mine did not rub
I own a 2007 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab (new body style). my truck is Red and has the 4.8, basically stock but i got big plans.

the new body styles do not have much of difference between 2wd and 4wd. the ground clearance on a 4wd is 9.1 inches. on a 2wd its 9.0 inches. u can clear 33's without a lift on a 4x4 silverado. the newbody style aint gonna matter. id recommend takin that black valance piece off below the bumper makes the trucks look alot better

mine was gone like two weeks after i bought the truck i cracked it off when i was out offroading there was a stump under the mud and it just hit im looking at the biger tirse casue i got a 6inch lift ordered but i cant get it on until i bring my truck out to nation four wheel drive cause the dealer here said if they put it on it will void my warranty so im goign to wait a year and just get tires now.

yea a suspension lift will void the warranty. i dont no if a leveling kit will but if u gonna run a 6 inch lift i would fo 35x12.50 or 35x13.50. the 13.50 wide tires to me just look a lil nicer. if ya wanna check out sum pics of these tires go to AmericanLuxurycoach.com and click on the 1500 lift package.

their gonna rub a little with the 285's and the 305's are going to be way worse. those new body style trucks do have problems going with a bigger tire especially a 33" tall tire. 285/70R17 on stock wheels will rub the plastic on the inner fender behind the tire..you can trim it or beat it in with a hammer and not cause a major damage if you know what you are doing

well, in my opinion, I would just wait to get tires until you get the lift on. If you get 285's now than put the 6" lift on than the tires are going to look tiny and you will want bigger rubber.

the 275 shouldnt rub, the 285 may a little, and the 305 will most likely rub a decent amount on stock rims.
