    Default Question

Will a leveling kit give my truck some lift.. and what does the leveling kit actually do?

New to trucks, just asking questions to try and learn about different stuff

the leveling kit will do just what it says it will bring the front end up to level the truck out and you can put 33 inch tall tires on i am getting blocks for the rear to rise the back up and inch

Chevy trucks usually have a lower front end giving them a "nose in the dirt" look, which some people including myself don't care for. A leveling kit will raise the front end 1.5 to 3 inches depending on the kit, after the front is raised and the tuck is level, visually it appears to squat in the rear so some people choose to raise the rear an inch to negate this visual effect, basically it's a less expensive way to lift the truck and facilitate the use of larger tires.
