    Default Crankshaft problems

Hello everyone, New to this forum and hoping to get some help. Just bought a 1988 chevy silverado 4X4 for $400.. The guy i bought it from thinks that the crankshaft bearing has gone out. The engine and transmission themselves were re-built 80K ago. How much of a pain in the ass would it be to do the new crank bearings? Since I have to take the bottom half of the engine off, would it make sense to redo the engine again? What should i look out for, and what are your guy's thought on this problem?

Aproblem with a crank bearing is usaully caused by a lack of lubrication so you would need to replace crank and bearing I would redo or replace

welcome to the site, first off why did the previous owner think the crank bearings are out? crank bearings are fairly easy to do but if it spun a bearing you are going to be looking at a lot more work and $
