what kind of fan do i have?
when i was looking at CAI's this morning on autoanything.com they all ask if I have the mechanical fan or electrical fan. I have no idea what I have, if someone could help me out or tell me where to look that would be great.-Nick

Open the hood and look at the fan. If it's on the engine it's mechanical and driven by a fan belt. If it's on the radiator and has an electric motor then it's electric.Jim

A clutch fan is attatched to the front of the motor and is driven off the motor it can be a metal flex fan or plastic.
a electric fan has its own electric motor so there is no physical connection to the motor and has a plastic fan
Here are some links and pics that will help
