Default Silverado -- What's the best year?

What's the best looking year for the Silverado? Myself, I like the look that has been out for the past couple of years. Waiting for the 2007 to come out as well.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

Yeah, my dad used to have some mid 70's Chevies when I was a kid. Got me hooked early I guess. So much so that my first truck was a 1962 GMC 3/4.

99-02 look identical (except for 01-02 had a HD version of the 2500 and had the snub nose w/ higher hood)

03-05 look similar (except for 05 the HD had the current 06 look, chrome around grill)

06 - they all look the same.

My fav would have to be the 06....but I own an 02 and my dad owns an 03 and we both like eachother's trucks.

99-02 is the best looking. Mechanically they are all pretty similar, excluding engine/transmission combinations. I used to own a 99 Chevy (4.8L V8, 4x4) until I traded it in on my GMC. That was the best truck I ever owned, and I regret trading it in everyday.

The 02-06 look is just a little wild to me. It looks like the designers at Chevrolet were trying to put a tougher, more aggressive look on the truck without altering the fundamental construction of the truck. It came out totally wrong to me.

I think the 06 is the best of both worlds (99-02 and the 03-05)....I'm just speaking 1500 versions.

Mine is a 5th gen (obviously from the pic) and it's probably my 2nd least favourite gen., after 6th.

3rd gen's are absolutely bad ass trucks, and my first truck was an '84 Sierra. Would love to have another one. This is my old truck.

4th gen's are great as well, as are the current 7th gens. Still though, nothing is more bad ass than a 3rd gen GM pickup.
