New Member with a question

Hi,

I am a new member and I have used this site for info since I decided to buy my 09 Silverado two weeks ago. Lots of good info is available and I am going to keep tapping it for help. If I can help with any of my experiences let me know.

So I bought the Imperial Blue crew cab Z71 LT with the 5.3 and its great. I upgraded from a 2005 Colorado and wish I would have done it sooner.....

So far I have done the following:
Stripped off the gold bowties & Z71 stickers
Added a body color bowtie in front
Amp Research Power steps with the led light kit. They are stealth and work great.
Pop 'N' lock power tailgate lock
done a DL3 mirror swap with body color covers
added GM Chrome door handles
Swapped to Summer Wheels BOSS 24 x 10 330's with Nitto 420s 305-35-24's
Upgraded the speakers to JL Audio v 650's
in channel window rain guards

Ill post pixs soon as it stops raining and I can take some...

My first question is I bought the wheel house liners form GM and they did not come with fasters of any kind. I saw on the site that some members used self tapping screws and pop in fasters they got with them. The parts guy at the dealership says gm does not supply them and to go to home depot.....

Any one know if he's got a clue? If you have added them please let me know how you did it.

oh its called skullverado because I plan on adding some air brushing to match my tattoo and it seems to fit.

Welcome to the site!

I've used self tapping screws from Home Depot on many cars in my time, you should have no problems. Just remember, measure twice, drill once.
