Hello Everyone, I am Ruben Alonzo and just bought my very first pickup, a new (new to ME) 1999 Chevy Silverado reg cab, 6 Cylinder 4.3 Vortec V6, 5 Speed and I love her to death. Just sold my bug, a 1972 VW Beetle non-super. As a Telephone Technician we use these big 3/4 Ton F250's and the Boss just got a new 3/4 Ton Chevy HD Alllison, and I can tell you from FACT that the suspension difference is day and night between the two trucks. Even though they are of equal heavy dutiness.

My main reason for buying a truck is where we live there are a lot of 18 wheelers and so ive been run off the road like 3-4 times simply because they dont see me! That, and also at times I go pickup Rylie, our youngest my folks after work and I just do NOT feel comfortable with my family in the car, love the bug but she is not safe in this town of trucks galore.

Another reason is the way I feel being up so high all day in our trucks then I get in my bug and BOOM..I am low to the ground. Well thank you all for having me and I will post pictures of my Shamrock ( she is emerald green in color, hence the name) this weekend.
