Just recently bought truck and it had no spare tire. Went to tire shop and bought a used tire and rim.
The tire shop could not mount the tire in the holder underneath the box of the truck. Said the lowering mechanism was seized.
Is this a common problem? If so, anybody have suggestions on best way to remedy? was told it was quite expensive to replace.
Don't really want to put spare in truck bed.
