    Default Muffler info? [Expired Topic]

(i posted this in another thread too...)
i'm lookin to get a new muffler for my '05 Equinox but im lost on where to go.

Most of the factory sites (flowmaster, magnaflow) dont have my model in their database.
I want a deeper, somewhat louder tone. (flowmaster 50 or 60 for example)

Anyone done a muffler installation on an Equinox or know details on it? what do i need to know size and specification wise, is it easy to do, any info would help. Thanks

Changing a muffler is usually a pretty easy job. I could even help you out if you wanted.

also, im i going to have to weld it or should the universal muffler just need a fitting?

nahh shouldn't have to weld it. Probably just run by autozone and pick up some exhaust clamps. It will just be the muffler when you get it. It will use the factory mounts.
