Replacing the middle console?
Has anyone heard if it's possible to replace the middle console in the front with a seat? We obviously have bucket seats but we will have 4 kids soon & need another seat. We also don't want a mini van, lol! If it is possible we will do it. Any info would help.

So you have a middle console that runs up to the dash and you want the jumper seat that folds down instead, I know its possible just depends on how much you want to spend as they were hard to find for the person that i know tht did it. As far as i am concerned any price is worth it to stay out of a mini-van!!99 K1500 Suburban LT "THE BEAST"

Well, I don't want to replace my bucket seats because of the seat heaters & such....I just need a customized seat. I was hoping for one that had a folding back so we could keep some storage.
I don't really know, I'm just thinking. I am not getting rid of this truck.

Okay I think that the one that 1 low rider has a picture of would be ideal for you if you still need the storage space, but the one that bry2500 would also work too. The only thing is if you pull that center console out of your truck, where are you going to reroute all of that wiring under there? On my truck I have the rear vents and audio setup from the factory, and when I pulled that center console out to route some wires there were a ton of wiring harnesses under there. I also have all of the power seat stuff too, just wondering if you had thought of that. All of that stuff would be exposed laying on the floorboards, unless you pulled the carpeting and ran it underneath the carpeting?? Here's a pic of mine, is yours the same setup?

^^Yeah, it's the same. I realized that there would be a problem with taking that entire console out that's why i guess i would need someone who knew what they were doing. A custom job.
Thanks for everyone's input!
Lowrider, that would work definitely. Thanks for looking for me

just go on crutchfield.com and get that under console box with the 10 inch JL Audio subwoofer in it... that'll put any little one straight to sleep
