Post Launch pad in the Dunes

When we going 4WD in the dunes over here you have to drive well out into the desert so that you don't have this kind of lunatic come flying into you. Obviously defect genetic material here !

What this ding bat does to himself or his truck are his problem but just imagine you are toddling along just over the hill - only going to be one outcome, wouldn't you agree?

Or how about this guy - yep, another qualified NASA astrophysics professor in the making. What were his mates thinking!

Default Almost launched from a desert dune

I have been watching this clip a few times, still amazes me. Whether I think this guy is stone cold crazy or not, he has done a superb recovery. The truck is a Nissan Patrol / Safari. I don't think you guys have them in the US. The Patrol is absolutely everywhere in every other country, I believe Nissan will be importing the brand new 2010 model to the US.

Anyways, enjoy this, he must have brass ones!
