Default Snapped Antenna off 1999 Sub

After 185K my whip antenna finally snapped off in the wash. I found an original Antenna mast, but don't know if I need a special wrench to remove the remaining stub and install the new mast.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If its like mine a small end wrench or adjustable should work fine if its just the mast part and not the base.

    Your welcome! Happy to help!

One thing about car washes I noticed with mine is the coating on the mast was getting beat off and I was afraid the wire that wrapped around would come off.
To fix this I got a roll of heat shrink tubing 1/4 inch from harbor freight and ran it all the way down the mast with a litte extra cause of the shrink factor, used a heat gun to warm it up and it shrunk down snug and it looks good and should be pretty durable time will tell tthough.
