I bought this for my 2009 Silverado 5.3Liter V8 because I was told that nothing has changed from 2008 to 2009 but that was wrong. It in brand new, still in the box with amazing instructions (I got it today). I'm really sad that it wont work and now I'm going to have to wait a few more months until K&N comes out with a new one for the 2009's. I know for a fact that this model is for the 2007-2008 5.3.

You really have a CAI with the stock one thats on your truck. All your really going to get is sound with a new one. And if you like to hear it your MPG will drop cause you will be getting on it more.
