    Default clicking when turning

my 2005 chevy tahoe z-71 has been making a clicking sound when i make a right or left turn, i was told this may be due to some play in my steering mechanism. i was just curious if someone might have some insight on this matter?

If it clicks when moving forward and the wheels are turned, it sounds like your front u-joints (or CV joints, whichever you have.) If it clicks turning the wheel back and forth, but not necessarily when the truck is moving, it's something in your steering system, most likely the power steering bits.

Yep i agree with matt there on this one, check your CV boots or whever it is you may have. It is a comoon issue with all cars.

    Cool clicking when turning

If its not the front cv joints, check steering shaft. GM truck shafts go bad. I have 05 Silverado and replaced mine with a Borgenson unit.
