Hey I have a 2003 Gmc Sierra 2500 hd extended cab long bed truck that has a vibration that becomes worse between 40 and 50 mph. feels as though tires are out of round as it starts bouncing at 40 mph then smooths back out at 51mph feels as it is in rear. Have replaced tire and wheels twice with no change.any suggestions Thanks
If you swap the rear tires to the front and the vibration stays in the rear then its not he tires or wheels. The next place to look is your drive shaft. Best way to check it is to jack up the rear end and set the axles on jack stands with the wheels off the ground. Now run the truck in drive and look at the drive shaft. Usually you can see if its bent. A bad U joint will also cause a vibration like this.

Thanks for the info. I have switched the back tires to the front and have also replaced the back tires, checked the u joints which appear to be tight, this problem didn't began until i installed new tires.
Make sure you check the drive shaft run out. Coincidences do happen.

I have replaced both u-joints and still it feels as though the rear tires are bouncing between 40 and 50 mph.drivesaft does not appear to be bent or out of balance
What happened to the vibration. Mine also started after new tires were put on and is also at the same speed. Did you get it fixed? If so how. Hope you or someone can point in right direction. Thanks
Had to change to different brand of tires, no problems now
