Hey there all, I'm new here to the site and I'M experiencing a problem with my 1999 Burban k1500 5.7L. Last weekend I installed a set of headers all went well with the install with the exception of the air tube off of the header did not want to cooperate once I finally got it back on and started her up I noticed a vibrating almost grinding sound from under the hood it almost sounds as if its up by the alternator I thought it was a bad baring on the belt tensioner or the idler pulling so I replaced both, not it… the sound seams to quite down at about 40 mph but does not go away. Also I notice a vibration from under the floor I have double checked every nut, bolt and the area I worked in. Any thoughts or help would be great Thanks
Note: I am still running stock pipes, cats, and muffler I plan to replace once I pinpoint the noise

what kind of gaskets did you use?
1993 K1500 Suburban 350TBI, 378,486KMS on frame, 49,000KMS on Drivetrain. Lots of mods, built for haulin trailers and haulin @$$
2000 K2500 Yukon XL 6.0L Vortec 252000KMS custom CAI, and exhaust...but not done yet.

first off your gaskets that came with the headers are crap. I had a similar problem when I installed them and they blew out in the first 100 kms I put on. I bought some aluminum gaskets that are awesome. never have to be retorqued.
check em out if you can find them in your area
