    Default what obd do i have

    i have a 2500 hd 2005 with a 6L in it which OBD would i have in it

    i was doin some reading on a couple of codes i had show up on my programmer for my tranny. i found codes for odbII and was just wandering if they were the right codes. also i was wandering if the codes it displays are right because ive heard that sometimes that it displays bogus codes.

    Look at the key and tell me what the key says right near the black rubber part. That will tell you. Reason I ask is because if I remember correctly on my GTP, at 2003 they went to obd3.

    there is nothing on my key at all. i just looked and there was nothin on it.

    hmm, if thats the case, I would think you are correct in having obd2, if you're factory key had PK3 on it somewhere, then it would be OBD3 then that is a different story.
