Hi all, first post here. My chevy trucks are in my signature. Ran across this forum while looking for some answers, looks like i'll be sticking around. I am 25 and in the military, so I'm from all over really. I work as a network technician and love my job.
So on to my quest for advice...On my silverado, I have installed two Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers in a cat-back true dual exhaust setup. It sounds great, but not -quite- as loud as i want it to be. I understand getting a good pair of headers will bump my sound up moderately. The problem is, should I get shorty headers or full-length?
key thing, i have plenty of power. im looking for SOUND.
a lot of other forums say to go full-length because shortys are just for ground-clearance issues. is this true? how would i know if full length would fit in mine? it sounds like there would be some modification involved and not just bolt-on and go...anyone have any experience with this?
thanks, and great to be here.
