    Default Programmer Questions

After modding my truck with an Air intake and a new muffler, everyone says get a chip next. Well i have some questions to ask before i bump to that step. First, i've been looking at the different options and i've narrowed it down to either Hypertech or Diablosport. Hypertech is just really popular but i hear you have ALOT more options and little things you can change/do with the diablosport. So a question is do you have to put the tune back to stock with the programmer if you want to tow something? Thats one of the things i'm worried about is if the engine is set to a mode by the programmer and i go to pull something am i F*#$ing things up by doing this? I guess thats my main question for now, but if anyone can commment about programmers, how its worked for them, or suggest anything to me about it, that would be great, & thanks ahead of time for anyone that responds!.

Good question...I have the Hypertech, and not even thought about that. I don't think you should have to go back to stock, since it is set up for your truck, motor, tranny, and wheels.

    Cool Programmer questions

On deisal motors if your running the high horsepower settings you should install the tow power setting to keep from over heating the turbo. On gas motors the extra power and transmission tuning will help your motor when towing. The Diablo has LOTS more tuning options than Hypertech and Superchips.

I suggest going with the wait4meperformance sct tuner it is just like the diablo tuner except it has 3 custom tunes built in it. I have orderd mine and it should be here any day. Unlike diablo he can take away torque management and after you buy the diablo you will have to pay one of the guys to do you a custom tune on it to get the full potitental of power from it so why not just jump that middle man and go with wait4me and get the custom tune the first time.
