My name is Aaron (DOUBLEA) and I live in Monument, CO (in between Denver & Colorado Springs). I have a short bed, Black 2006 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali that I am constantly trying to enhance both in performance and look.

I currently have enhanced the perfomance by utilizing the Hypertech Power Programmer and manipulating the gear/rpm ratios. Additionally I have an S & B Intake and a Cherry Bomb Exhaust with 4 1/2 inch stainless steal diesel tips.

In the looks category, I have installed a leveling kit on the truck and have shaved down the wheel wells a bit so that my bigger 285/70/17 tires will fit with no rubbing.

I have also added a camo hood protector, "bolt on look" fender flares and window flares. I have also installed a "BAK FLIP" fiberglass bed cover, sissy bars on the bed and "Denali" running boards.

I am currently trying to buy a brush guard from a guy that has a Ranch Hand one that was installed on a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500. The Ranch Hand store representative says that it would work reinstalling it on my 2006 GMC 1500. Im not sure if he is saying this because he wants to sell me a new one or if there is some truth to this.

Any thoughts and or expertise out there in the land of GM?

    Cheers -

    DOUBLE A

Hi Aaron, Welcome to the Club. I'm not positive but think the mounting brackets will be different.

    Welcome to the club!!

Denali's are beautiful to begin with, so I would think it would be hard to make one look better. I didn't have a ranch hand bumper, but my westin bumper from my 1500 fit on my 2500, all I had to do was mount the brackets upside down and it worked. If you can cut and weld it will fit.
