    the guys on here are right. i know its not a chevy but i had a 2002 ranger and all i did was the bolt and tightened it and it ended up snapping my tie rod and breaking the shock completely out of the passenger side. your best bet is to do like we all did and get the keys or a leveling kit. good luck.

    I would recommend getting an alignment after you add the leveling kit or Keys.

    I actually added the torsion bar keys to my truck and then cranked the torsion bars another 3/4 of an inch. As locg as you dont plan on doing any major off roading then you probably wont snap a torsion bar. With that done I was able to put a 285.75/r16 on my truck.That is the same size as a 33 inch but not as wide so you dont have to trim that much of your front bumper and valance.

    We cranked my friends on his Dmax a while back, the ride got a little harsher and we snapped a few wrenches in the process.

    One of my friends cranked up his just a tiny bit so one size up tires didn't rub. The ride got a little worse, and he barely changed it. So if you want to just use the stock keys, don't move it very much.
