    Default Remote start/Alarm

So ive decided to put an aftermarket sound system and gps in my truck and I need a really good alarm and remote start system. Will a remote start and alarm system mess with the onstar at all? Does anyone have any recomendations for me? Also what door speakers should I go with?

COMPUSTAR is the way to go!!! As for speakers set yourself a strict budget first, then go from there.

Yea Ive heard that Compustar,Clifford, and Viper is the way to go. For the door speakers I would like to spend under 350 on both sets.

I bought the Clifford 50.5x remote start system when I had my camaro. I LOVED it. I would say clifford is the way to go. Its a little pricey, but a big part of the cost for me was labor for the install. As far as speakers, I got 4 JL Audio Mids and 2 Tweeters for around 275 before labor. They were on sale though, so I don't know how much they usually run. Now I just need to decide what to get for the silverado.

If you can afford them and at $350 you should be able to Boston Acoustics are awesome. And of you want range NOBODY comes close to Compustar they are now factory rated for 2 miles of distance. i have an older two way system and it was factory rated at 1.5 mi but got up to 3 mi and through very thick walls when at the Mall of America
