Hello guys im new to the forum and i have a couple questions about this truck i might be buying. its a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500...originally came with the smaller V8 but now has the C5 Corvette engine in it...The thing is i dont know much on engine swaps...he had it proffessionally done..i was wondering what you guys would pay for it...it has a few scratches in it...its a Regular cab short bed 4x4 Z71 Package....the engine has very low mileage on it...i believe he said like 40,000 miles. he told me you give me 6,000 u can have it...hes looking at buyig a Jeep Cj 7 and just wants to get rid of the truck...would you guys do it?
Thank you guys for the help...
Walk away. Its hard telling whats been done to that truck.
if you are adamant on getting the truck and you feel comfortable carrying cash make an offer that you can flash some cash for. a lot of the time i have notice that people will take less money if the see the cash in front of them. i do however agree with bubba you have no idea what has been done to the truck. so i would definitely be cautious
basic rule for buying a used is car is very simple: IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS, WALK AWAY.
nobody sells good cars. good cars are keepers, as they are rare to come across. and sellers are tellers.
DON'T FIX IT IF IT AIN'T BROK. IF IT'S BROK - FIX RIGHT AWAY.
WONNA THINGS DONE RIGHT, DO THEM YOURSELF

Gotta agree with everyone else, if you have questions you have doubts. When in doubt go with your gut, mine says walk away.It sounds like he's trying to unload it.![]()
