    Default Ipod Hookup

Hey guys when i purchased my 04 sierra it already had a ipod hookup that was working. Yesterday when switching through all my sources it wouldnt pick up the ipod. I checked that it was plugged in and it was. How can i get the ipod to work again? it was using input XM-1.

Any help would be great thanks!

I would start by check for voltage to the adapter unit, possible blown fuse at the adapter. This is most likely your problem so the head isn't picking up any signals. Does the adapter also charge your ipod, if so is it still charging?

What type of ipod adapter is it, make model #, that might help to troubleshoot.

does the ipod still work on the computer when you update the ipod and music?? that will help trouble shoot too.

Well if this is the case then the cable is plugged into a an aux adapter. I would trace down the aux adapter and start checking power at it. If this seems too much then your best bet is to take it down to an audio shop to have then troubleshoot the issue.

Without knowing all the components involve here it make it very difficult to know where to go next. If you can figure out what the ipod cable is connect to then we can proceed with some additional t/s. Good luck.
