Default Mech gauges in stock dash

Howdy - Has anyone tried to put aftermarket mechanical gauges in the stock dash? Currnetly mine are mounted under the dash under the radio. I'd like to get them back in the dash where they go, but I'm not sure which ones to get and more importantly, which size without having to take the entire dash out. Would prefer to just do that once.

    Thanks for any info...

First - '68 longbed (lady runs stop sign, insurance gives me a check)
Then - '81 SWB (stupid stupid stupid...sold it thinking I was going to get something else)
    Now - Finally got my '86 (350, Holley 600, 700r4)

Browse on over to YearOne. They list complete dash panels with AutoMeter gauges or you can buy a panel with or without holes.

Also has billet dash panels that may be a good starting point.

Good info on the websites, but I am going to keep my original bezel/panel. I'm just wondering if anyone has done that and put aftermarket mech gauges in there.
