New to this site, but I've already done a lot of research and reading through the threads here. One answer I couldn't find is this: I replaced the stock intake on my '05 Tahoe 5.3L Vortec with a Volant CAI (like it a lot) and was wondering what the purpose is for the three baffles are on the OE intake taking up all the room behind the fans. Anyone know? I can post a picture if people are wondering. To me it looks like they would create turbulent warm air, but I figure the engineers at GM should know something (I could be wrong). Thanks.
