If I remember right, Ihad to drill one hole and used a existing hole also. I hope who ever installed the kit didnt trim the plastic intake tube so he could use the factory holes and not have to drill another. The connectiing coupler between the intake tube and the MAF just doesnt look right to me. It could be the picture, I will keep looking at it and maybe I can figuire it out.

Just a tought, but does your truck have a body lift? I looked on K&N website at the installation sheet and you can see on page two the airbox is closer to the fender.

Yes it should definitely be up against the fender, it just defeats the whole purpose behind the cold in cold air intake although you still get the gain of unrestricted airflow, for as much money as K&N charge you'd think they'd offer a fully enclosed air box by now.Adam

I had the same problem with my first cai from K&N. I switched to Volant. Great fit and good performance.Thanks,
