    Default Fuel filler vent

    i keep getting gas comming out of the little ventnext to the gas cap.
    Not much but there is enough to show marks on the side of my truck. I am guessing it is comming out of the vent. I put on a new gas cap. I tried not filling it up but the sloushing of gas from starting and stopping still makes it come out the vent.
    My question is : Is there a check vaulve in the vent hose that could be stuck? Could i spray pb blaster down the vent to loosen it up?
    I don't know what to do.

    Dont know for sure but I would think there would be a flap in there that could be stuck, can a straightened wire coat hanger maybe get down there?

    No , not without breaking the top of the vent off.
    How far down would the flap be?
    I might be able to push a wire small wire tie in it
