I bought a Geo Metro and it worked! It gets 40 MPG. LMAO!!

Seriously driving with a light foot will give you the best results out of all the trinkets you can bolt on your truck, and this modification, although rarely used, is free!

Cool Has anyone found a tried and true MPG increase mod?

I agree with a light foot on the pedal. I also found with my Silverado and Suburban that switching to all synthetics (engine, tranny and diffs) that I picked up 1-2 MPGs on the highway.I use Mobil1 synthetics because they have been around forever and you can buy it just about anywhere.

Yes, Synthetic oils will give you a increase in MPG. I gained 6% increase(1 MPG) in my diesel switching from the Mobil 1 Delvac full synthetic(came in the truck), to AMSOIL DEO 100% synthetic. But yes a light foot is the best way to save!

Thanks for the responses. I agree keeping off of the gas pedal is a great method... I appreciate all your inputs.

Thanks Jimmiee, but I don't think I'll go the GEO route.

I got two of the new Spectre air filters and they have made noticeable improvements the MPG is better but have to relearn how hard to press the gas with the new cleaner it doesn't take as much.

You can see the filter in the write up section.

For me I try and do whatever I can to keep the tach under 2000 when accelerating, and even though it is hard not to go above the speed limit. Otherwise get rid of uneeded weight, I never leave my third seat in the burban, unless I know I will be using it.
